The Aquarium de La Rochelle is situated in the heart of the city. Opened in 2001, it is one of Europes largest and is open every day on the year.

It takes on average, 2 hours to walk around this vast exhibition. There are 65 tanks displaying 10,000 Atlantic, Mediterranean and Tropical species in 3 million litres of water

From the moment you enter you will come across many surprises – believe me! You will walk through a 360° tunnel surrounded be jellyfish and microscopic sea life, and eventually, will meet a 1,5 million litre tank containing sea water and 20 species of sshhaarrkk!!!
