Situated just 15 miles from the magnificent old port of La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré, on Frances south west coast,and just 12 miles from south Vendées’ golden beaches. This is the heart of the national park ‘Marais Poitevin, yet is only 7 miles from the beautiful cathedral town of Luçon and close to the region known as the Venise Verte, (Green Venice).
Our micro-climate, in this one of the sunniest parts of France, makes off season holidays most attractive. 

The beautifully restored 18th century stone cottages at Bellevue are arranged around a courtyard with our own house. The spacious garden, which leads onto beautiful countryside, contains willow, fig and cherry trees with lawned areas and flowerbeds. We have a seperate barbecue area with plenty of tables and seating, fully enclosed solar-heated pool (12 x 5m) sun terrace, badmington, table tennis and darts.

The four gîtes (cottages) are fully independent, tastefully furnished, fitted to a high standard and have exposed beams, microwave ovens, Dvd and CD players, electric heating, double sinks, refrigerators etc ; they provide modern comforts but have been carefully renovated to retain much of their original character.

The village has it's own bakery, grocery, and a friendly family bar all within walking distance, plus there are many other restaurants and amenities nearby.
